Wallace Falls

Today we went for a hike to see Wallace Falls.  We had heard that it was a popular hike and was usually busy but we were surprised at how busy it was.  We got there at about 11:30 and the parking lot was full.  We had to park about a mile down the road.  It was about a 5 mile hike round trip and really pretty.  We had a lot of fun together.  This was Adilynne's first hike and she did great.  Here are some pictures.
Adilynne didn't like being on the back so much because she couldn't see.  By the time we got to the middle falls she had had enough of it and was so much happier on the way back on the front of dad so that she could see.
Lots and lots of trees.  This is how everything looks around here.
 Wallace River
 Lunch time on the trail.
 Lower falls.
Middle falls.  This is the biggest of the three falls on this hike.  It drops about 275 feet and you can see this waterfall clear down on Highway 2 as you drive through Gold Bar.

  1. Beautiful. Sounds fun. Glad you had a safe hike and had fun. Adilynne has always wanted to see everything that is going on around her. I'm surprised she lasted on daddy's back, not being able to see anything, as long as she did. Love you all!
