Our little baby girl is one year old! I can’t believe how fast that year went. We have gone through a lot of changes since
she was born and we are so grateful to have her in our life. This summer has been a little crazy but we have had so much fun. Adilynne and I have been in Utah from June
15-July 22. It was a long time to be
away from David but we had a lot of fun playing with family. Adilynne grew and learned so much while David
was gone and they were so excited to be together again when David flew to Utah
on July 18. She is such a daddy’s girl
and I love to watch the two of them together.
On Saturday July 20 we had Adilynne’s birthday party. I loved the way it turned out and we had a
lot of fun celebrating.
We had a piƱata for the kids to play and I think they liked that. But who doesn’t like the chance to beat the heck out of something and then get candy from it!
This girl was spoiled with presents! Thanks everyone!
She actually did a pretty good job opening the gifts at first. After the first few she didn't really care anymore though.
My parent's gave her a stuffed animal giraffe and she loved it!
She cuddled right up with her new giraffe and blanket, even in the 100 degree Utah heat.
She wanted to play with the candle.
.
David had to help her figure out what it was.
Not too sure about it.
She never really did eat it herself but would eat it when David fed it to her.
I think she liked it! We are going to have a little sugar monster on our hands!
Here are a few pictures that I took of her on her real Birthday.
What she has been up to...
She can take 2-3 steps on her own. She is getting more and more stable and she will probably take off anytime now.
Grandma Evans taught her how to turn around and go backwards down the stairs. She will go right up to the stairs, turn her cute little bootie around and down she goes. She even knows that to get off of the couch she has to do the same thing.
She has gotten VERY talkative. She isn't quiet for very long. I love hearing her though (for the most part, if she isn't screaming and crying to be picked up).
She loves to play outside on the swing set. At Grandma and Grandpa Evans' house she even figured out how to climb up their slide and go down it. When we got back home to Washington she was so excited to look out the window and see the swing set here. She tried climbing up our slide but it is plastic and she couldn't get a good enough grip to do it herself.
She loves being able to eat the same thing that mom and dad are eating. We had spaghetti and garlic bread the other night and we couldn't feed it to her fast enough.
She switched right over from formula to Vitamin D milk like it was no big thing. This morning she drank it cold and from a sippy cup. That really surprised me.
She finally reached the 20 pound mark! She was 19 pounds for about 2 months and when I weighed her today she was just over 20 pounds.
She is 28 1/4 inches tall. So big!
